Privacy Policy
How CourierPlot collects, uses, shares, stores and protects information when you visit, book and use our courier service.
These terms explain how the service operates and what to expect. Read the applicable policies before submitting a delivery request.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the CourierPlot website, customer and business accounts, courier-management application, recipient tracking links and related communications. CourierPlot is the service operator responsible for the information it processes in providing those services. Contact us through the Contact page with privacy inquiries.
Information we collect
For customers, we may collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, business names, billing details, pickup and delivery addresses, instructions, account credentials and order history. For recipients, we may collect names, delivery contact details, handoff confirmations and tracking interactions. For staff, the platform may collect work assignments, shift information, device location during active work and delivery evidence. We may also receive IP addresses, device/browser information, cookies, login events, and security logs.
Delivery tracking and evidence
When necessary for courier operations, delivery records may include courier location check-ins, timestamps, route information, package photos, recipient names, electronic signatures, PIN verification status, delivery exceptions and return notes. Location information may be incomplete when the courier's browser or device is offline. Sensitive delivery evidence is restricted to authorized users and used for fulfillment, incident investigations and legitimate records.
Payments and service providers
Payments may be processed by Stripe. CourierPlot does not need to store full card numbers to accept Stripe-hosted checkout. Other service providers may include hosting companies, mapping/routing vendors, email services and SMS providers where enabled. Providers may process the information necessary for their functions under their own terms and privacy policies.
How we use information
We use information to provide quotes; verify addresses; schedule and deliver packages; process payments and refunds; communicate status; maintain customer accounts; resolve disputes; prevent fraud and abuse; manage couriers; maintain security; and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell package records or customer delivery histories as advertising data.
Messages and consent
Service emails may be sent about bookings, payments and deliveries. Optional SMS status updates are sent only where the applicable consent and configuration requirements have been met. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply. Where supported, reply STOP to opt out of optional text updates; operational availability may be affected by opting out. Promotional messages, if offered, require separate consent where legally required.
Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only as needed for service operations, disputes, financial accounting, security and applicable retention requirements. Retention periods vary by record type and cannot be treated as an unconditional immediate-deletion promise. Contact us to ask about records associated with your account, including corrections or deletion requests. We may need to retain records required by law or for legitimate claims.
Security
We use access controls and other reasonable organizational and technical safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep tracking links private; recipients with a valid link may see limited shipment status. Report suspected unauthorized account access using our Contact page.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of relevant personal information, subject to applicable laws and exceptions. You may control browser cookies, update certain account details, and decline optional communications. Certain US state privacy rights may apply depending on your location and the scope of our operations. We will evaluate requests under applicable law and may need to verify identity first.
Children, changes and contact
